The problem

A 3D preview is only the beginning. I wanted a design to remain editable, recoverable, and useful outside the tool that created it.

What was built

  1. A browser studio backed by the native FreeCAD geometry kernel, with bounded, parameterized design recipes.
  2. Dimension editing, Undo, project reopening, and restoration after a server restart.
  3. STEP, STL, and native FreeCAD exports, checked by reimporting the resulting geometry.

What I learned

Treat a design recipe as structured data. Validate its expressions and dependencies, then validate the solid itself. A failed save must preserve the last usable geometry.
