The problem
A capacity curve can hide a change in how quickly a battery is degrading. I wanted to study that transition and make the analysis easier to interpret.
What was built
- A lithium-ion battery degradation-analysis pipeline working with capacity-cycle curves.
- Exploration of piecewise regression and curvature methods for identifying knee behavior.
- Exploration of capacity-cycle curves and knee-detection methods.
What I learned
A useful prediction needs an interpretable connection to the underlying curve. Comparing methods and checking assumptions matters as much as fitting a model.
